Submit an abstract

Contributions are invited for oral and poster presentations at CAPoC13.

Abstracts are welcome across all six congress scopes.

Abstract submission deadline: 30 November 2026
Notification of acceptance: 22 January 2027

Abstract Template and Format

Please use the official CAPoC13 abstract template. Abstracts should be 1-2 A4 pages (12 pt font, 1.5 line spacing), including figures and references, and must be submitted as a single DOCX file. Submit one file per abstract.

The DOCX template and a PDF reference version are available for download on the congress website.

All abstracts must be written in English. Presentations at the congress are also delivered in English.

Review Process and Selection

All submitted abstracts are reviewed by the Scientific Advisory Board, which assesses their relevance to the congress scopes and their scientific quality.

The Scientific Advisory Board reserves the right to assign a contribution to a scope other than the one indicated by the authors, and to determine the final presentation format, in order to build a balanced programme. Authors will be notified of the acceptance decision and the assigned presentation format by 22 January 2027.

Presentation Formats

Authors may indicate their preference for an oral or poster presentation when submitting. The Scientific Advisory Board decides the final format on the basis of the review outcome and the overall balance of the programme.

Format Duration
Oral presentation 20 minutes including discussion
Poster presentation Dedicated poster sessions with ample time for discussion

A number of contributions will be selected as keynote lectures, with an extended slot of 30 minutes instead of 20. No separate application is required.

Submission Rules

  • Authors may submit more than one abstract. Each abstract must be submitted separately.
  • Each submission must indicate one primary scope. If the contribution spans several scopes, additional scopes may be indicated.
  • Abstracts that have already been presented at another international congress should not be submitted.
  • By submitting an abstract, authors agree to its publication in the congress book of abstracts, distributed to registered participants.

Registration Requirement

For an accepted contribution to be included in the final scientific programme, the presenting author must register for the congress. Presenting authors of accepted contributions are asked to complete their registration by 15 March 2027, which is also the early-bird deadline. Contributions whose presenting author has not registered by that date may be removed from the programme.

Full Manuscripts

Authors of accepted contributions are invited to submit a full manuscript for publication in a special issue of Topics in Catalysis (Springer Nature). Manuscripts are submitted separately through the Springer Nature editorial platform and undergo the journal's standard peer review. Instructions will be provided upon acceptance of the abstract.
