Welcome to actors from industry and academia at the occasion of the CAPoC12. The event will be held in face-to-face format.

Covid19 – Last update August 23rd, 2022 – The local organizing committee is always monitoring the pandemic. The conference will be held in full face-to-face format. There will be no obligation to wear the mask in the conference hall or during the poster sessions. However, disposable masks will be made available at the registration desk if needed. A few antigenic tests will be made available upon request at the registration desk.  We are looking forward to welcoming you under the best possible circumstances.

All topics related to applications and requirements of catalysis in automotive (including cars, light and heavy duty vehicles) emission control will be considered such as

  • Catalyst and sorption technologies (TWC, cold start emission, lean-burn of gasoline and diesel: SCR, storage and other NOxemission control)
  • Particulate emission control for both diesel and gasoline engines
  • After treatment for gaseous HC, H2and renewable or reformulated fuel mixtures
  • Emission control for natural-gas and dual-fuel engines
  • Emission control for hybrid vehicles
  • Off-cycles emissions and unregulated pollutants (e.g. greenhouse gases)
  • Materials for catalysts, washcoat and fuel-borne catalysts (additives)
  • Modelling of after treatment systems and catalyst characterization
  • Integrated emission control systems, on-board diagnostics
  • Sustainable fuel technologies
  • eFuels chemistry
  • Liquid organic hydrogen carriers
  • Innovative technologies (new materials, recovery of precious metals)
  • Marine applications

Format and languages

A limited number of papers will be presented in full oral form. It is intended to discuss posters in special sessions, after their presentation.

1 – 2 typewritten A4 pages using 12 point font size and 1.5 line spacing

Submission must be in English.

Submission process are still open for late submission but will accepted only for posters presentation. Submission form link shortly available.

Template example should be shortly available in .doc format or .docx format.


It is intended to publish all accepted papers with no distinction between oral and poster form, as proceedings in the “Topics in Catalysis”. Papers will be peer-reviewed before the conference and respective reports will be made available to authors before or at the latest during the conference. Papers will be limited in size. Further information on the format will be given in due course.


September 15th, 2021:Submission of extended abstracts (1 – 2 typewritten A4 pages using 12 point font size and 1.5 line spacing).

December 1st, 2021:Authors have been informed of the acceptance of their paper.

June 1st, 2022: The second circular detailing the final program is distributed.

July 1st, 2022: Deadline for receipt of the full manuscript in order for it to be sent for review and to appear in the volume of preprints made available to participants  at the Congress. The preprints will appear under the author’s responsibility.

July 15th, 2022: Early bird registration deadline.

August 29th to 31st, 2022:  CAPoC12 takes place.
